Injectable skin boosters and bioremodelling treatments have been gaining increasing popularity in recent years and have become a vital component of injectable rejuvenation treatments.

They work wonderfully in conjunction with (or instead of) more traditional injectable treatments such as neurotoxins and fillers and can be very impactful in improving overall skin quality, health and texture.

Polynucleotides are an exciting and wonderfully versatile injectable skin booster, which in addition to treating facial skin, can also be safely used in areas such as the delicate under-eye area as well as the scalp, for the purposes of hair health.

  • Ameela contains natural polynucleotides (derived from salmon) which stimulate and bio-remodel the skin in multiple ways including increasing hydration, stimulating collagen and elastin production and ‘scavenging’ free-radicals which contribute to skin ageing.

    As they naturally stimulate the skin from within, rather than physically filling targeted areas, they can be safely used for undereye area rejuvenation, without leading to exaggerated puffiness.

    They are therefore a wonderful alternative to tear-trough filler

  • Polynucleotides can be administered either as a series of micro-injections using a fine needle and mesotherapy techniques or through use of a fine cannula, or through a combination of the 2 techniques.

    Polynucleotide treatments ideally comprise of 2-4 treatments at 2-4 weeks apart, and then a session repeated every 6-8 months to preserve the results.

    It is important to be aware that it can take a few weeks for the full effect to become apparent, due to the nature of the bio-remodelling process.

    Downtime is negligent but do be aware that you may experience temporary bumpiness to the skin or temporary undereye puffiness for 3-5 days.

  • Following these skin-boosting treatments, patients find that they are able to continue their day as normal, with no restrictions. However we do warn that there may be localised redness and swelling which starts to resolve after 1-2 days. In the delicate undereye area, the puffiness may linger for a little bit longer.

    At the end of your treatment you will be treated to a complimentary session under our medical-grade LED lamp, with settings tailored to your specific treatment needs.

    Like with all injectable treatments, it is recommended that you avoid exercise or excessive straining for 24hours post treatment, as well as avoiding excessive heat or rubbing and pressure to the area.

    Bio-remodelling and mesotherapy treatments are suitable for all healthy individuals above the age of 21, but like all of our injectable therapies we are not able to offer them if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
